Easter Table-Set with Pastels

An Easter table-set with pastels of pink, purple, green and yellow. Pastel colors express love, spirituality, hope, harmony, and joy, so it’s no wonder why pastels are most used at Easter. From the tablecloth to the centerpiece, a balance of pastel colors set the table for Easter as we gather to celebrate this joyous occasion.

Green Checkered Tablecloth

A green checkered tablecloth gives you a feeling of being outdoors, in nature amongst green grass and fresh springtime air. It adds contrast to the pastel table décor and looks good with most dinnerware.

Flower Placemats

At Doodle Digs, I challenge myself to a holiday without paper plates, but I give exception when it comes to placemats. The main reason is the limitless options available; you will never run short of new themes for a tablescape.

Paper placemats can be found in numerous colors, shapes, and patterns and in a multitude of holiday designs suited for any occasion. For this Easter tablescape, I chose flower placemats in light pink, dark pink and orange.

Pink Checkered Napkins

Pink checkered napkins with bunny ear napkin rings keep the Easter table set with pastels. The pink checkered napkins work especially well with the green checkered tablecloth. Napkins can be rolled diagonally or squared to fit into the napkin ring. See how to fold a napkin: Simple Ring Fold

For a pop of extra color, an ornamental egg was nested in each napkin.

Simple Centerpiece

A simple centerpiece is a tabletop tree decorated with pastel mini-Easter egg ornaments. My favorite is those pictured here with the polka dots and stripes. Choose a neutral tree color, like this white birch, for use with other holiday themed ornaments.

Easter bunnies complement the centerpiece and fit perfectly beneath the tree branches.

White Plates

White plates and gold trimmed silverware are shown for this Easter tablescape. However many colors (especially pastels) and/or patterned dinnerware will look good too. Table favors have been omitted on this tablescape, but jellybeans or Jordan almonds, wrapped in frilly netting, and tied with pink, purple or yellow ribbon would be “egg”stra special!
